EVALUATION OF EROSION PROPERTIES OF VARIOUS FOAMED MATERIALS FOR MISSILE APPLICATION,

Abstract

Results of erosion resistance tests of various foamed plastic materials in a high temperature supersonic air flow are tabulated. The materials included 2 polystyrenes, 2 polyurethanes, an aluminum silicate fiber composite, and a phenolic polyurethane composition.
