AIRFIELD PAVEMENT EVALUATION, USMCAF SANTA ANA AND USMCHOLF MILE SQUARE, CALIFORNIA.

Abstract

The evaluation of the pavements at the U. S. Marine Corps Air Facility, Santa Ana, California, and at the U. S. Marine Corps Helicopter Outlying Field, Mile Square, California is presented. Allowable gross load capacities of the runways, taxiways, parking aprons, etc., are listed for single, dual, single-tandem and dual-tandem wheel assembly aircraft. Allowable gross loads for helicopter-type gear configurations are also given for asphaltic concrete pavements. (Author)
