EVALUATION OF THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF 9NI-4CO FORGINGS.

Abstract

The primary objective of the program was to evaluate forgings of 9Ni-4Co-0.30C and 9Ni-4Co-0.45C (Bainitic). Data from tensile, compression, shear, and bearing tests was combined with data from the literature and then analyzed to establish design allowables. Fatigue, fracture toughness, stress corrosion, metallurgical stability, and notched tensile data are presented. (Author)
