BIOCHEMICAL STUDIES ON THE TOXIC NATURE OF SNAKE VENOM

Abstract

The crystalline toxin, cobrotoxin, was obtained from Formosan cobra venom and was proved to be the main toxic protein in the venom. The study was initiated to investigate the properties of the I131 labeled cobrotoxin and its distribution together with excretion after injection into rabbits.
