Abstract

The purpose of this test is to evaluate the effect of salt atmosphere on the performance of the disconnect coupling. This coupling has been modified by placing a bushing of a dis-similar metal in the poppet guide. Corrosion at this point could cause a malfunction of the coupling. (Author)
