COMPARISON OF SATELLITE GROUND TRACK CALCULATIONS BY RAND AND AFIT,

Abstract

The results of the study of the ground track of a 24 hour satellite obtained in the AFIT Research Project 64-21 are reviewed to compare both methods in the present study the same orbital parameters, as in the Rand report are used and results plotted for two cases omega = 0 and omega = 90 degrees, yielding quite different curves.
