Abstract

The report is a two-part summary of information gathered in liaison visits to a number of German meteorological institutes and the German Weather Service. This document contains a description of the educational programs and research being conducted at two institutes of the University of Munich, at the Deutsche Versuchsanstalt fur Luft- und Raumfahrt E. V. in Oberpfaffenhofen, and at the University of Hamburg. It also contains a short discussion of the rate of production of professional meteorologists in West Germany. (Author)
