STATISTICAL DETERMINATION OF STRENGTH PROPERTIES,

Abstract

The report defines the various parameters and limits of importance in the statistical analysis of strength properties. Criteria are established for determining minimum allowables ('A') and 90% probability allowables ('B'), based on one-sided tolerance limits of the Normal distribution. Tables of the one-sided tolerance limits are included, and examples are given of their use in computing 'A' and 'B' allowables. (Author)
