FLIGHT ACCEPTANCE COMPOSITE TEST ATLAS - MERCURY 10D.
Abstract
The purpose of this test is to demonstrate flight readiness in that the missile airborne systems will function satisfactorily without mutual interference on internal power with umbilicals disconnected. In addition, umbilicals are to be tested for proper ejection when the electrical circuit is activated by launcher microswitches S-1001, 2 inch eject, and S-1002, 8 inch eject. Also this test provides a checkout of the Autopilot-Guidance Loop. The purpose of this test is to demonstrate the flight readiness of the capsule instrumentation, cooling, and control systems and that these systems will function satisfactorily on internal power with umbilicals ejected and without mutual interference with the booster systems. In addition the test will check for proper ejection of the capsule umbilical. (Author)
