MINIATURE CRYSTALS FOR SSB APPLICATIONS IN COLDWELD ENCLOSURES AND CRYSTAL UNITS WITH HIGH TEMPERATURE BONDING.

Abstract

A successful design for a miniature (0.275 in. diameter) 5 MHz fundamental resonator is described. Progress with a high temperature processing machine (bake-out, plating, coldweld sealing in one vacuum) is reported. A relatively high temperature bond with a germanium-gold alloy is discussed.
