AN APPLICATION OF THE STIFFNESS CONCEPT TO THE BEAM COLUMN PROBLEM,

Abstract

The report presents a method of analyzing beam columns. The displacement of the beam column is related to the externally applied transverse forces by a system of linear algebraic equations. Nonlinear effects of the axial load are accounted for in the establishing of these equations. (Author)
