Abstract

This Conference Report summarizes two conferences at Oxford Univ.: one on Valence and Reactivity and the second on Hyperfine Structure. Both emphasized the properties of electrons in the outermost atomic shells. Experimental data were presented as well as recent theoretical developments. (Author)
