Comparison of Monopulse and Mechanical Track-While-Scan Radars

Abstract

The report compares the angle-range tracking capabilities of amplitude monopulse radars and track-while-scan radar using mechanical scanners. Both systems are described along with an error analysis of the angle-range tracking loops. A table is included which summarizes the characteristics of the two systems.
