AN EXPERIMENTAL MODEL FOR MULTIPLICATION AND CORRELATION BASED ON NEURAL PROCESSES.

Abstract

A model of a real time multiplier based on the neuron processes of thresholding and spatial summation is presented. The performance of the model based on a digital computer simulation is discussed along with the results of an additional study regarding the use of the model for on-line autocorrelation. The model successfully performs multiplication with various ramp inputs. The model also successfully performs autocorrelation of simulated random noise. (Author)
