HIGH POWER FERRITE GAS DUPLEXER.

Abstract

The report describes the fabrication techniques for a High Power Waveguide Ferrite Gas Duplexer. The mechanical design of the ferrite phase shift section is described in detail with the design goal of obtaining maximum heat transfer from the ferrite through the bonding layer to the coolant. All the required parts to fabricate two units have been ordered and all parts with the exception of the phase shift section have been received. Further investigation of various epoxies have been conducted and it was found that C. H. Biggs Co. R363 when loaded with 10 micron particles of Beryllium Oxide exhibited a sufficiently low thermal resistance to warrant its use in the final package. (Author)
