AEROSOL DISSEMINATION ASSESSMENT.

Abstract

This report describes the work accomplished during the eleventh quarter of a program to develop, design and fabricate a complete chamber aerosol assessment system. Its primary application will be in the area of testing and evaluating methods for the dissemination of chemical agents and simulants for which the mass concentration and chemical and physical properties of the aerosol clouds must be defined accurately to predict aerodynamic transport and physiological interactions. During this period the main effort was directed towards the completion of the construction and assembly, as well as 'dry run' testing of the automated programmable filter sampling system designed for direct coupling with a large aerosol test chamber. The required modifications of this chamber for the attachment of the sampling system were completed. (Author)
