GAS-GUN DEVELOPMENT,

Abstract

The objective was to design and build a device which would allow independent control of the mass and velocity of a particle. Provisions were to be incorporated for firing these projectiles into a small altitude chamber at a stressed target. The device was to be capable of imparting velocities in the 1200-1500 ft/sec range to projectiles up to 1-gram mass. (Author)
