REFLECTION OF SPHERICAL WAVES AT WEAK INTERFACES

Abstract

Reflection of both acoustic and electromagnetic spherical waves at a weak interface is considered. The limits of applicability of existing theories are established, and reflection formulas are derived for indexes of refraction close to one.
