ELECTRONIC DRILL MINE TIMER,

Abstract

Test results are reported on a battery powered electronic drill mine timer which was designed and built to Naval Ordnance Laboratory specifications. The timer has delay settings of one to forty-nine days in one day increments, with a timing accuracy of plus or minus 0.2% of the setting. The timer utilizes incrementally filled magnetic cores (10-counters) called INCREMAGS and an RC Oscillator with a period of .864 seconds. Vibration, shock, temperature and humidity, oscillator period stability, magnetic field exposure, and timing accuracy tests were conducted. Measurements of output energy and operating current were made. (Author)
