BIOLOGICAL AND CLINICAL FOUNDATIONS OF AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES

Abstract

None of the methods used today in establishing auto-antibodies fully meets all of the requirements for screening. The 'screening' should include the following methods: (1) Precipitation in a liquid medium; (2) The conditioned agglutinations; (3) Complement fixation (reaction) and the Steffen test; (4) Any of the tests of cytolesivity; (5) Immunofluorescence; (6) A sensitization of lymphocyte cells.
