NEW RECORDING ANALYZER FOR GASEOUS IMMISSION CONCENTRATIONS,

Abstract

Recording instruments are increasingly used for the detection of air-polluting gases (SO2, NO + NO2 and O3). The report describes an automatic colorimetric analyzer for discontinuous operation characterized by high sensitivity within a few micro g/cu m, high selectivity and low maintenance requirement. Simple switch-over makes it possible to record half-hour means and short-interval measures with the same instrument. The 'Imcometer', designed for simple and quick change-over to various gas components, was utilized, in an outlying area of Hamburg, to record the daily trend of such gases. (Author)
