INVESTIGATION OF AEROSOL SAMPLES WITH RADIOACTIVE SURFACE MARKERS,

Abstract

The labelling with radio-active inert gases of aerosols which are then shot into the surface of the particles makes possible the indication of the individual aerosol particles by radiographic means and also determination of their size. With the aid of the fall in activity of labelled aerosol samples during structural change of the particle caused by chemical reaction it is further possible to obtain information about the chemical nature of the particles.
