DRASTIC II,

Abstract

Drastic II is a computer program which uses the Newmark Beta method to solve in a stable and expeditious fashion the linear differential equations of vibration for shell structures. The form of the differential equation is second order with symmetric and sparce matrix co-efficients. A special array storage technique and indexing scheme are developed and explained. With these techniques high order systems of vibration equations can be solved without resorting to expensive tape manipulation and excessive computer time. (Author)
