LASER VELOCIMETER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Abstract

The report presents the results of investigations for developing a laser system capable of measuring the velocity history of the free surface of a solid, shock-loaded material. Experimental data as well as considerations and analyses basic to phenomena affecting the accuracy and functional deployment of the system are examined. (Author)
