Abstract

The report summarizes analytic, experimental, and consulting work of the Human Factors group at the British Iron and Steel Research Association. Examples of recently completed studies, as well as current work, in problems of visual inspection, control room design for continuous process monitoring functions, and the measurement of mental effort.
