OBSERVATIONS ON THE PRODUCTION OF ETHYLENE BY PENICILLIUM DIGITATUM SACC.,

Abstract

An attempt was made to study quantitatively the emission of ethylene by Penicillium digitatum. The evolution of the production of ethylene was examined by growing the fungus on a synthetic medium with glucose as the unique source of carbon. On the other hand, in substituting for glucose different carbonated substances, an attempt was made to detect possible precursors of ethylene. (Author)
