ON A NEW MODE OF UTILIZATION OF ANALYTICAL CENTRIFUGES

Abstract

A method is described which permits determination of the coefficient of sedimentation s of the complex enzyme-substratum(s) formed by an enzyme that is found in very small quantities (less than 1 microgram) and that may be contained even in very impure preparations. A calculus technique is given bringing data of experimentation to a value approached by s. An experimental example is presented and its precision is discussed.
