PROCESSES FOR PRECISION RADIAL FORGING OF INTEGRAL TURBINE WHEELS.

Abstract

Further development of the precision radial forging process for producing turbine wheels with integral blades was performed. The program included screening tests to evaluate the forging characteristics of high temperature materials, design and fabrication of forging tooling, and evaluation of two complex, axial flow turbine wheels.
