WAVEGUIDE, WAVEGUIDE CIRCUITS AND ANTENNA RESEARCH STUDY.

Abstract

An analysis was made of the effect on a rectangular beam waveguide resonator when a coupling aperture is introduced to convert the resonator to an antenna. Preliminary measurements made on a rectangular beam waveguide antenna fitted with flares and using slot coupling showed a maximum gain of 19 db and a beam width of approximately 8 degrees. Additional theoretical analysis and experimental work are now in progress. (Author)
