LASERS IN PRACTICE,

Abstract

Lasers sent atoms out in exact moment resulting in an expanding light beam concentrated onto a target area. There are 3 basic types of lasers, the optically excited laser, the gas laser and the semiconductor laser. Lasers are used in science, industry, medicine, and in the military. Ten lasers were built in the CSSR the year before the publication of the article. Lasers are used for welding, cutting, drilling, communications, surgical operations, frequency settings, etc. The use of the laser in each field is described. (Author)
