THE EVALUATION OF AEROSPACE MATERIALS.

Abstract

The report describes the evaluation of materials for aerospace applications. It is presented in three sections: Section I describes the evaluation of the fracture toughness of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy. Also described is an examination of the anistropy of T. D. Nichrome. Section II describes the arc plasma screening of a low density ablative composite. Section III presents thermal expansion data for columbium alloy Cb-752. Study was conducted to investigate possible differences in the expansion characteristics of this alloy from two sources.
