SEMICONDUCTOR DETECTORS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS (HALBLEITERDETEKTOREN UND IHRE ANWENDUNG (ZUSAMMENFASSENDER BERICHT)),

Abstract

The functions and types of semiconductor detectors and their physical basis are discussed. Charge carrier collection, energy resolution, amplification, noise, time dependence, and radiation damage in the detector-amplifier system are considered. Applications of these detectors are discussed. (Author)
