QUALITATIVE IMMUNO-CHEMICAL ANALYSIS; METHOD USING THE DIFFUSION OF ANTIGENS INTO PRECIPITATING IMMUNE SERUM WITH GELOSE

Abstract

The goals of qualitative immuno-chemical analysis using antibodies as sole reagents are as follows: (1) Count as completely as possible the antigens contained in a mixture; (2) Try to identify the antigens contained in a mixture of given origin, using the homologous or heterologous specificity of the antigens found in mixtures having different origins, or in products of fractionation. An attempt was made to develop a method that would lead to the realization of these goals.
