SYNTHESIS AND EVALUATION OF CURING AGENTS.
Abstract
The report discusses research aimed at the development of improved curing agents for binder prepolymers. Sulfonyl aziridines have been investigated as potential curatives for carboxy-terminated prepolymers. A total of 20 monofunctional and 2 trifunctional sulfonyl aziridines were prepared. Rate studies of sulfonyl aziridines with octanoic acid were monitored by IR following the reduction of the aziridine deformation band. (Author)
