PROJECTED INTERNATIONAL PATTERNS. VOLUME I. OVERVIEW OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION SYSTEM.

Abstract

A prototype Environmental Information System (EIS) is designed to provide selected forecasts of the future international environment. Specifically, the EIS focuses on changing patterns of national power and influence, internal instability, local conflicts, and political alignments. The prototype, which reflects current empirical research results, is subjected to a demonstration test and is evaluated for its potential as a decision aid in long-range planning. (Author)
