AN ANALYSIS OF HEAT EXCHANGE BY MEANS OF RADIATION IN A CHAMBER FILLED WITH REAL GAS OF A GIVEN SELECTIVE EMISSIVITY (ANALIZA WYMIANY CIEPLA PRZEZ PROMIENIOWANIE W KOMORZE WYPELNIONEJ GAZEM RZECZYWISTYM, O OKRESIONEJ SELEKTYTWNEJ EMISJI),

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to present the most general conditions for heat exchange by means of radiation between two surfaces enclosing a space containing a mixture of multiatomic gases (combustion products). A gas-containing chamber greatly complicates the problem of radiation mechanism and final equations. The symbolics set up in the study are logical and aided in a clear solution to the problem. They also made it possible to note the relations between the radiating parameters of the surface and gas as well as to find generalized principles. A precise determination of the amount of heat brought in and carried away (heat exchange) became possible by means of deriving and simplifying: (1) the law of closure; (2) mutual configuration principles; (3) the law of distribution of the radiating energy in the gaseous center.
