CONTRIBUTION ON THE TRANSMISSION OF TYPHUS FEVER

Abstract

The group infection, which was observed among the members of the hospital who had been infected in the typhus fever laboratory, was caused by an increase in the virulence of the rickettsia through the mouse lung passages. Experiences had at other laboratories under like conditions vouch for the fact that, despite all possible precautionary measures, suseptible persons become infected by virulent rickettsia.
