MICROWAVE SOLID-STATE DEVICE STUDIES.
Abstract
This is the second quarterly report on subject contract whose objectives are to investigate theoretically and experimentally new solid state phenomena and techniques having application to microwave generation, amplification, and control. Current tasks under the program include (a) Microwave Noise Emission in InSb, (b) Instabilities in Ge, (c) Gunn Effect Oscillators and Frequency Converters (formerly Equivalent Circuits for Solid State Devices), (d) Gunn Effect Amplifiers, (e) Avalanche Diode Devices, (f) Structures for Microwave Integrated Circuits, (g) Transverse and Magnetic Field Effects on Instabilities in Bulk Semiconductors, (h) Helicon Waves in Semiconductors, (i) Analysis of Dispersion Relations, (j) Solid State Device Construction.
