MEASUREMENTS OF SOLAR RADIATION ON THE 20-CM AND 3-CM WAVELENGTHS DURING THE SOLAR ECLIPSE OF 30 JUNE 1954 (MESSUNGEN DER SONNENSTRAHLUNG BEI 20 CM UND 3 CM WELLENLAENGE ANLAESSLICH DER SONNENFINSTERNIS 1954 JUNI 30),

Abstract

During the solar eclipse of 30 June 1954, solar radiation intensity was measured in the radio-frequency range on the 20-cm and 3-cm wavelengths. Measurements were made on 20 cm using two instruments simultaneously. The shape of the radiant solar disk was averaged for an average solar surface intensity. In addition, the average surface intensity from certain areas of the solar disk was measured at selected intervals during the eclipse, and the intensity distribution was determined from this.
