A SYSTEM FOR MEASURING DYNAMIC FLOW PROPERTIES IN AIRFOIL BOUNDARY LAYERS,

Abstract

The paper is concerned with analysis of a method for ascertaining flow direction and magnitude in the rotor boundary-layer region as an indication of shear stress by the use of direction sensitive electrically heated surface film sensors which are powered in a feedback double bridge constant temperature system. The report concerns itself with a discussion of the basic idea of this system together with a theoretical analysis of the errors associated with such a system. (Author)
