EFFECTS OF SAMPLING AND DISTURBANCE ON THE STRENGTH OF SOFT CLAYS,
Abstract
The laboratory procedure most commonly used for strength determination is the triaxial compression test. The relationship between data obtained with this test procedure and the in-situ strength of a soil under comparable deformation conditions (i.e., axially symmetric strain and same orientation of principal stresses) will be the subject of this report.
