SOLID LUBRICATION TECHNOLOGY.

Abstract

The report describes the first six month's effort on a program that has as its objective the development of improved self-contained, solid lubricated ball bearings capable of long-term operation under high speed - high load - high temperature conditions. The program encompasses a temperature range of -40 to 1500F and speeds up to 30,000 rpm. A maximum load combination of 250 lbs thrust/250 lbs radial is being investigated. (Author)
