ESRIN: THE EUROPEAN SPACE RESEARCH INSTITUTE AT FRASCATI, ROME, ITALY.

Abstract

The report gives an account of a liaison visit to the European Space Research Institute (ESRIN), established in Frascati, near Rome, in January 1966, by the Council of the European Space Research Organization (ESRO), 'to undertake laboratory and theoretical research in the basic physics and chemistry necessary for the understanding of space experiments already performed and for the planning of such future experiments.' The report gives a brief description of the structure and organization of the Institute, of its long-term research objectives, and of their present research program. (Author)
