INVESTIGATION OF INTERATOMIC INTERACTION IN ALLOYS OF THE NIOBIUM-TUNGSTEN-MOLYBDENUM SYSTEM (VYVCHENNYA MIZHATOMNOYI VZAEMODIYI U SPLAVAKH SYSTEM NIOBII-VOLFRAM-MOLIBDEN),

Abstract

Binary niobium-base alloys with 5, 10 and 20% tungsten, or 5, 10 and 20% molybdenum, ternary Nb-10% Mo alloys with 5, 10, 15 or 20% W, and Nb-10% Mo alloys with 5, 10, 15 or 20% Mo were melted from 99.4-99%-pure components in an inert atmosphere arc furnace. The strength of interatomic bonds was evaluated from the values of the elasticity modulus, characteristic temperature, and the mean square root displacement of the atoms from the equilibrium position.
