Abstract

The report establishes the inhibitory effect of many peptones upon the growth of B. anthracis spores. It is stated that the addition of blood to the medium inhibits this action and that we can obtain reproducible counts and results. The article also offers a method of calculation for the determination of the aptitude of various brands of peptones for these purposes. (Author)
