A FORTRAN SET FOR THREE MACHINES,

Abstract

A description is given of the FORTRAN language items common to and available for the CDC 6000 Series Computer Systems, the IBM Operating System/360, and the UNIVAC 1107/1108 Systems. Because the users of these computer systems must occasionally write a program at one installation to be used at another having a different hardware configuration, information is supplied regarding the parts of the language that can be used in such situations without major revisions having to be made in the programs. To this end, detailed descriptions are given on coding procedures, the elements and operations of FORTRAN, and input/output formats and statements. (Author)
