THE PROBLEM OF SIMULTANEOUSLY EVALUATING STRUCTURE AND STRESS IN FERROMAGNETIC MATERIALS BY USING MAGNETIC TESTS (PROBLEM ROWNOCZESNEJ OCENY STRUKTURY I NAPREZEN MATERIALOW FERROMAGNETYCZNYCH ZA POMOCA BADAN MAGNETYCZNYCH),

Abstract

The influence of stresses (< or = 25.4 kg./sq mm.) on the magnetization curve (0-150 oe.) of cast iron was investigated. This influence is visible. Stresses have no influence on the magnetization curve in weak fields of Ni. The phenomenon, characteristic for cast iron, is connected with the disturbing influence of nonferromagnetic components, since the coercive force of cast iron is not subject to the influence of stresses.
