Abstract
The tests were carried out using Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Salmonella gallinarum bacteria. The US equipment proved to be adequate for use both with fresh nutrient substrates and with dry solid culture media, with either American or German membrane filters, to an equal degree as the German membrane filter device.
