THE EFFECT OF MOLYBDENUM ON THE HEAT-RESISTANCE OF CRMOV STEELS WITH A LOW CARBON CONTENT (VLIV MOLYBDENU NA ZARUPEVNOST CRMOV OCELI S NIZKYM OBSAHEM UHLIKU),

Abstract

The influence of Mo on the heat resistance of steels containing 0.12% C, 0.5% Cr, 0.25% V was investigated. In the range of up to 1% Mo a maximum was reached at 0.5% Mo; between this value and a full 1% no improvement in the resistance was observed. There were even some indications that the heat resistance may be reduced.
