THERMOELECTRIC AIR CONDITIONER PERFORMANCE INVESTIGATION,

Abstract

An experimental program directed towards establishing a firmer level of performance for state-of-the-art thermoelectric air conditioners is described. Experimental data showing typical performance characteristics of a 1800 BTU per hour thermoelectric air conditioner under varying environmental and system operating conditions is presented. On the basis of the experimental results and observations made during this investigation, it is concluded that a thermoelectric air conditioner unit can be a practical and advantageous means of meeting military air conditioning requirements under certain environmental and system operating conditions.
